Cocktails to Make at Home
Cocktails to Make at Home
Now that we can see more people, and we have finished exams, we are looking to party more. Of course, since pubs are still not opening for at least another two weeks, sometimes we have to be creative and make our own drinks. We all love our beers and rum and coke; however, after a while that gets boring and you need something to change it up!
1. Espresso Martini
We all love a good coffee in the morning to bring our energy up. If you are feeling tired and need a drink to wake you up at night, espresso martini is the one. All you need for this is coffee, Kahlua, and Vodka. Warning: last time I had 4 espresso martini’s I couldn’t sleep until 8:00am. This is a cocktail that will keep you up all night so either have it in moderation or plan to go to the beach for sunrise at some point, otherwise you’re just going to be bouncing off the walls feeling constantly restless at home.
It is officially summer, which means it’s time to start making those typical summer cocktails. If there is one cocktail that compliments going to the beach perfectly, it is Sangria. A refreshing alcohol beverage that cannot be refused. Save this cocktail for a very hot day. There is nothing better than sitting by the beach side, looking at the waves, and sipping (or chugging) your sangria.
3. Long Island Iced Tea
Let’s be honest, if you’re making Long Island Iced Tea’s then you’re looking to have a very crazy drunk night. If there is one thing I have learned about Long Island Iced Tea’s is that if you’re drinking them, you can never predict where the night is going to take you. If you make it too strong, you’ll have your head near the toilet bowl way sooner than you’d think. At the same time, it is the perfect cocktail to have a crazy night and get smashed with your friends. If you are going for this one, I wish you luck!
4. Make your own!
Since we are always looking for something to do at this time, why not make your own cocktail? Have a look in your fridge, fruit basket, and alcohol cabinet and get creative! Have everyone in you create their own signature cocktail and figure out which one is the best! Not only can you make this a game/competition, you could be the creator of the best new cocktail of lockdown. If you’re bored and still have a few hours before you can get drunk, then start thinking and creating!
Yes, there are many other good cocktails out there, however, during quarantine, I would say these are the best to explore or have the most fun impact with. We all love a good drink, but sometimes we crave a great drink, and these are examples of that. If you created your own and think your recipe is amazing, let us know in the comments below!
